I recently received an email from BBO about a new app called "BBO Trainer". It seems to just be a way to play with robots and compare results with others. It maintains a leaderboard and tracks some of your stats. I am not sure what the difference is between the new app and just playing free robot tournaments within the regular BBO app or website. Also, it is about $9 per month and I wondered if maybe it is included in BBO+ subscriptions.
Any feedback or comments?

I just got the same email and was wondering the same thing. It looks like not much discussion here or feedback on the Play Store about it.
Have you given it a try?

Trainer doesn't seem to use your past deals on BBO. Right?
What a waste of creating a program!
Many BBO players would love to use an app to better analyse their play.
But this "BBO trainer" isn't doing that!

I've been playing Bridge trainer for the last month. It's been free to me but at the end of the month I started get locked out of many of the features and prompted to sign up for a monthly subscription. At this point in its development I probably will wait. There's much to like in terms of options to play and learn with very specific feedback about how you could have or should have approached any particular hand. The double dummy analysis is super interesting and eye opening. There are two things that keep me from signing up. First, the user interface and therefore the user experience are sub-par. There's already a very good UI in BBO so it's hard to understand why that wasn't replicated. I play BBO regularly on a phone (pixel 10), a tablet, and PC. I never have any problem with seeing the cards or distinguishing between suits. Those are troubled areas in BT. Granted, I'm sort of old but even with glasses I often cannot distinguish the four suits. The contract itself is very hard to see. I find all of that very disconcerting and it makes it very much less enjoyable to play. I don't want to struggle to distinguish the suits while I am playing. The app an also be glitchy. By that I mean there are times when cards and tricks are not recorded. Then you're in this weird space where the tricks taken on both sides plus the tricks remaining only add up to 12. If the developers are willing to spend some more time with the app, I'd totally be down to try it out for a few months.
