Everyone seems to hate this new format. How about listening to your customers and returning the old format. Have my friends do not have this new way, so old format

Everyone is criticizing and asking for the old form of the tournament to be restored, why don't you do it. Now it is terrible, unreadable and uncomfortable, there are no positive opinions and you are at the same time.

Hi, we are reading this thread and following the feedback. The next BBO version will include some improvements to the list of upcoming tournaments, based on comments from players, so thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We will keep adding improvements and filters in future releases. The work on this has just begun, we are not done, and the more information you give us, the more we can shape it the way you want it. Please keep the feedback specific and constructive, so we know what to adjust.

Examples:

• "I hate this, go back" --> we hear you, but we need to know what exactly is not working for you.
• "The font is too small" --> that is clear, we will review the font size.
• "The filters are stupid" --> understood, but can you tell us what you were trying to do and why the filters did not behave as expected?
• "I want a way to see games with BB$ prizes" --> that is clear and doable, we will add a BB$ rewards filter.

We want to improve these pages and your help is important. The more precise you are about what does not work or what you expect to see in the new layout, the more likely it is that we can build it.

Probably it would be better if players would be asked like this " do you like ANYTHING about the new list"? the answers are clear reading all posts made here
This new kind of list is absolutely terible. There is no chronological list, it isn't nicer than the older one, it's not easier to use, brings absolutely nothing better, contrary. New improvements may bring us the old list? i didn't see even 1 player content with this new one. it's not believable , but lately i am asked by players " please register me ". That never happened in the past!!! I really hate this version and i told why!
Maybe at next updates shouldnt be modified what looks and works nice ( restore old list and IMHO even BBO Points and the look of nicks, even for hosts - who were yellow, now just a thin yellow line) and work more to make BBO more stable. Many disconections in the same time, stuck players, even stuck robots, frozen screens. Those are useful for players, not a lot of filters!
I miss the old times when Uday and Fred were leading the software team. They didn't need to prove players that " we are working !!" making unusefull " improvements" hated by all players with no exception.. They proved that asking players, tds about what doesnt work good and they took into account all the suggestions ! They assured that everyone is happy with the website! We knew they were working hard because everythiong was working smooth. Now we are asked, but it doesn't seem it matters too much. Once a " so called improvement " is made, we can't go back!!!I wonder why!!

BBO was updated today and it contains some improvements to the list of upcoming tournaments, mostly based on comments and feedback from the players - so thank you, and keep them coming.

What's changed:


New filters available:

• Filter by number of boards
• Filter by BB$ prizes
• Filter only Express-style games

Viewability and UX Improvements:

• When a player selects the expanded mode for viewing tournaments, it will no longer toggle back to the "condensed view" on small screens.
• Improved readability for tournament list.

We'll keep improving the layout and the feature in the next updates. We've noted as possible future improvements the suggestions for:

• remembering players' selection of filters
• showing only games players is eligible to play -> this is partly implemented, however restrictions like points limits or custom lists are not currently taken into account except for daylongs.

If there is anything specific you would like to see on the new list please give it another try and let us know.

What about "free tournaments" only showing free tournaments, as mentioned by some here?

I find the choices in "number of boards" almost useless: 3-7, 8-17, 18+. I (for instance) want to play 14+ and am not interested in less than 12 or more than 18. If you really must narrow it down to a few combinations (rather than offer separate min/max fields) then I suggest the following: 3-8, 6-12, 10-16, 17+.

There isn't really that much fine-grained variation in tourney sizes. 3-7 picks up the new 4-board tourneys we added a few months ago. 8-17 gets most "normal" tournaments (8 boards for BXP games, 12 for ACBL individuals and speedballs), and 18+ gets ACBL open-pairs (aka "slowballs") and most virtual club games.
