You fill in as a substitute at the local club, and play with an expert partner. You've agreed on 2/1 GF and a dozen bells and whistles, but there's always going to be gaps. Let me know your thoughts on the auction. Deal rotated to make South declarer.

West leads the queen of diamonds.

The auction is ok.

I ruff the lead, draw trumps and (assuming there is no trump loser) concede a club. If clubs or trumps are 4-1 I can still hope for a favourable split in hearts.
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket

I think the auction is fine providing you had discussed some things like King reply showing number rather than specific suit, which is not what I would assume with an Expert partner (not that it changes anything here).
If Turbo was agreed I would have preferred not to break out to RKCB, even after the convenient XX, but all roads lead to 6 in any case.

Edit ignore
"definitely that's what I like to play when I'm playing standard - I want to be able to bid diamonds because bidding good suits is important in bridge" - Meckstroth's opinion on weak 2 diamond

We had agreed number of kings, not specific kings.

If trumps are 4-1 you are playing for heart Kxx onside, right? While with clubs 4-1 you only need the king of hearts onside with any length.

You also need to hope the defender with four clubs doesn't lead one for his partner to ruff when in with the ducked club.

Didn't we already pull trumps?

Yes, sorry I overlooked that bit of the plan and somehow assumed the duck happened at trick two.
