trump preference
Those of you would know that sometimes, auction like 1S-1NT-2C-2S, responder could have singleton spade(but at least doubleton most of the times), just to maintain the bidding for one more round.
Not so at 5 level.
Holding 5 clubs to the A109xx， GIB decided even after pd volunteer 5C, it is far from being enough, and better make "trump preference" to the singleton suit.

As bizarre as it seems, if you look at the explanation of 5C, apparently it doesn't promise support. I guess that's why.

Thanks. I didn't notice that.
So, GIB does not allow you, to support with support, to showing trump support, but bidding it?

IIRC GIB has passed a preference bid with a void (when holding fantastic support for the other suit).
