Request Explanation of bid Not working on ipad

Trying to help a newcomer to BBO, when I touched her bid, she insisted that no “please explain “ box popped up on her iPad. At the same time I get an automated message that she is already typing an explanation.
Other people don’t have these issues, Is it because she has launched the wrong product on the wrong platform? Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?
