Other than the bidding problems I presented, there were 3 very interesting hands this weekend.
First hand
Second hand (Article attached)
Third Hand

What's the deal with the first one? I bid to an easily making game and there's no slam.

All south's would double, the problem lies in north actually, passing twice with 5 spades is far from safe, but my partner risked it and got +800. Finding +1100 is tough ), so far nobody has. (EDIT: gnasher just did)
I am not sure how much this happens at high level, but playing with a student I quickly cashed ♥K to stop partner from crashing it. I had bad experiences on this one. If you are not careful you will end up with only +200.

I would double even with 2146 or 2245 I am very agressive towards reopening double, I will double 80%+ of the hands that I open and come back with overcall-pass-pass. But with 4 spades and 2 diamonds I think everyone should double, just think of it, partner passed 1♥ and RHO didn't raise, normally it will either be that partner has a penalty pass, or LHO has a huge hand, on the former doubling is better, on the latter it won't matter much.
