Ive noticed a lot of gateway timeouts when posting lately.
and notice a lot of people are getting duplicate posts has they hit submit again when post doesn't go thru immediately. so it seems to be happening to many people

- Update to a newer version of the forum software or
- Investigate why the problem affects an initial post but not a subsequent edit.

As mentioned in the other thread, we figured out what was causing the error, it was due to a misconfiguration of the email software, which is used by the forum to send email notifications. Upgrading the forum software probably wouldn't have helped.
There was no timeout on edits because users can't request notifications of edits.
