at the table I didn't double but afterwards thought I probably should have done. It's the kind of hand where you don't expect 4♥ to make but don't quite have the guts to double!! Maybe that's what seperates regular club players and better players.

Come on, why tip the opp off to the heart break and allow him to choose a line that makes? Where are my 3 likely tricks by the way? I am not on lead anyway and so cannot start of with a S for these three unicorn like tricks.

No way do I double. No one has shown weakness, just not extra strength. This is the sort of hand where they cash their 3 aces and then peel off 7 more cross-ruff tricks.
