I agree with you Mike but a human North might double but that's too fine a judgement for a bridge computer program.

I don't like the preempt, low ODR w/ lots of defense, horrible suit. Does GIB have suit quality requirements? Why is it opening 4 instead of 3, or just 1h? I don't mind opening 7 cd suit favorable, but it ought to be a 7-4 hand or better suit IMO, not so much junk outside that beats opp's contracts.

For such a Green vul position then its OK as it leads opponents to difficult contracts -any other vul such as White or Amber it is bad- I'd say 50% of the HCP should be in main suit and for Red it must 70% otherwise it could play better elsewhere with partner. Its not the point of preempt to be nice to opponents but to knock them down but you have to reasonable to partner since he might have a good suit which might play better and maybe reach a slam.
