He's playing Zia and Bjornlund, so might be a little faster than I implied.

The positions overnight can be seen here. Mickyb is in the Holders team. Frances and Andy are the Gold Cup team.

I've been to the Young Chesea and LMBA sites and googled Lederer Memorial, but can't find a list of this year's participants. Any link?

This is correct. You can get a list on the LMBA site, but it is an old tentative one and not accurate.

Bowles and/or Hinden etc will be on again today at 16:30 local time (GMT+1 or British Summer Time). MickeyB and/or teammates will be playing opposite.

Zia on at 14:45 local time. Robson 13:00 local time.

Mickyb is playing all the sets today, so sure he'll be there. I think at least two other forum members guaranteed to be playing the match too.

Apologies to all fans of FrancesHinden, Jallerton and/or MickyB who tuned in at 16:30 UK time only to discover that a late decision had been made to put Zia vs Robson on vugraph instead, I hope you found their standard of bridge to be adequate.

Also apologies to anyone who tuned in on Saturday hoping to see some bridge.

And well done to MickyB for winning the event for the second year in succession.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

Very sorry about that. I thought that as the leaders' last match was not going to be a decider (sorry Andy et al) I would put the celebrities on.

Mickey B's teammate Espen Erichsen arrived with the trophy on Sunday stating that he was going to take it home in a few hours anyway. Indeed he could have saved the trouble of carrying it, as the Holders (other members Norman Selway, Michael Byrne, Martin Jones and Neil Rosen) won the event with a match to spare.

Legends Nicola Smith and Sally Brock, with Kitty Teltscher, Colin Simpson and David Price, came in second.

By the way, Andy, you and John are owed a bottle of champagne each -- your "Best Bid Hand" prize.

Unfortunately none of the BBO audience were aware of the running score at this point since the penultimate match scores were only posted in the final table.

Obviously the right decision. Frances and I were debating whether the members of BBF would rather see Zia vs Robson or Frances vs MickyB  but BBF members obviously make up a small proportion of total vugraph watchers.

The tournament wasn't quite over with a match to spare, the margin was 46 vps with 60 to play for, but for both matches to be so one-sided is very unlikely given that it's hard not to pick up a few VPs on the BAM side of things.

Photos are now up on the LMBA website.
