JEC #3 Board 11 another system on or off.

1D is showing 4+unbalanced and 11-23 pts. 1H is a relay if 5-9 pts its at least 3H.

so over 1S opener we are also dropping system on since the chance they raise S is too high.

our options should look like...

a) pass = 4S, or 3154 minimum
X= support X or min with 4H
1Nt= 4C+5D or 6D and extras (this is forcing)
2C = 5C+4/5D
2D = 6D min
2H D+H 15-17

B)
pass = 4S min
X= 4S good hand
1NT = clubs
2C = 6D
2D = 6D+3H/5D+3H
2H = 4H but wide ranging.

c) other solution.

At the table when i saw partner X i was thinking that we didnt discuss this one lately, so i was stuck, with 4H iwould have expected him to raise to 2H so i was expcting him to have 4C. so my 4C was to keep thing simple (RKC in C) so when he showed 2+Q+K of D it was hard for me to spot a stiff S on his side. Lost 11 here. Its not easy to know what is good and easy to remember here.
