With a pickup on BBO, vulnerability and spots correct.

(BTW, is X a better first bid?)

1 to start with is fine. no you're not worth a 2nd bid. 1 - described your heart length and values very accurately.

Hi,

Pass.

1H was normal, p raise showed 6-9, you have 10HCP, the HCP abacus, which is better than
lots of peoble give him credit for, tells you, that game is out of the question, so pass.

1 is good, double is bad not so good, you need a full opening to continue with 3.

The call I considered was 3, not 3 (should it even be played as an invite here?)

Any bid by the overcaller (except maybe 3H) is an invite.

What ever the meaning, the meaning depends on what trial
bids do you play, we play value showing trial bids, so
3C would show club values for us.

Pass here. I will bid 3 if they bid 3. Might even bid 4/4, esp. if I have a read on my opponents that they aren't the kind to double.

You have a clear cut pass now.

You have a clear pass here imo. However, if you really want bid anything, I'd bid 2 to find a 4-4 fit which would probably play better.

Pass is the natural way of this bid. The double in lieu of 1 H could be accepted being no vulnerable, ready to pass on reply of a mayor by the P

Clear pass at this point.

The 1 overcall was fine. Double might have been the winning action, but it is a very light double and the disparity in the suits points in favor of the 1 overcall.

With a pick up pard this is a pass. If you knew your partner and agreed in advance to play 1-2-3 stop, it's a 3 bid (pre-emptive) in a flash.

LHO will often bid 3 here but can they bid 4? I doubt it.

Making any game try like 3 is just too much in that you don't want partner feeling that they can't afford to stick their nose into competitive auctions in the future.
