Some old friends are spending the summer creating EHAA III.
The first version, .... wasn’t too far from the original J Merril system that xxx taught me from his days at MIT. The second version featured 5 card majors and the “Funniest Minor” principle, meaning balanced hands were opened 1c with 15-16 or 19-20, and 1D with 13-14 or 17-18. But my latest system, ... is Big Club Ehaa:"
-----------
The outline of the system is:
Happy "Fun Size" Precision EHAA!!!
Meaning of opener's bids:
1c 16+ high boys (or 15 highs, a 6-card suit [good enough to play as
trumps opposite a stiff], and usually including a stiff or void);
1c is absolutely forcing, no exceptions (also they say not to
strain to open 1c at unfavorable)
1d 11-15 high boys, can't say 1maj, can't say 1nt, totally artificial
1hs 11-15 highs, 5-card major
1nt 10-12 (11-13 when vulnerable)
2cdhs EHAA weak 2-bids, semi-disciplined when vul(roughly 5 card suits, 6-11)
2nt 5-5 minors, non-vul 4-8 hcp, vul 8-12 hcp
Now, we do this: 1c - [1d] - 1nt: 16-18 nonvul, 17-18 vul
1d - [1maj] - 1nt: 13-15 nonvul, 14-16 vul
1nt = 10-12 nonvul, 11-13 vul
Also, we decided to open 16 pt. 4441 hands 1d when nonvul.
------------------------
They are mainly working on the 1d openings and follow ups now since that has alot of stuff in it.

Could work, but not using natural 1-level openers is a bit against the spirit of EHAA I guess... You might want to check out Oltbrink.

In the EHAA booklet I bought some years ago (and may still have around here somewhere) there was a section on, I think it was called "Southern EHAA", which used a strong 1♣ opening. I don't remember the details, though.

This is just a strong ♣ system with a very nebulous 1♦. I played something similar but with other 2-level openings...
