Heart finesse or try for 3 tricks in diamonds?
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

I suspect that playing the with AK and leading up to the T is slightly a winner over the finesse now (after winning the K). Playing the like this loses to LHO holding 4+ with at least one honor and RHO holding 4+ when s/he also holds the QJ

Did I lazily play the 9 at trick 2 ? Too bad, the Jack would have allowed me to get interesting information. For instance, the King by West would place East with AQ, etc. (I don't believe they would falsecard at trick 2 w/ this layout). But if West had taken my J with the Q... I would certainly place him with AQ, so no Q.

Anyway, now I play on diamonds for 2 reasons :
- the math says it's slightly better ;
- play so far is more consistant with West having the Q : if he didnot have it he would certainly fear that I could get a discard on Hearts and not release the trump control with the Ace in dummy.

So I would play Diamond to the King now (no Diamond lead), Ace and small toward the Ten.
