What is the best way to work on timing of a hand while playing a contract, all to often I play the right suit at the wrong time ( that is not claiming that the other times I get it right either ). how can I improve this aspect of my game

Play, play and play. Practice is everything. Look at your mistakes, remember them and don't repeat them.
