Would it be possible to list the other clubs as public and private on that screen rather than having to click to get to the next screen

In kibitzer list it shows white for invis, yellow for admin etc, purple for friends, black for enemies (I think). It doesn't however show green for seekers.

In my lobby view, i keep friends and stars only..Thus i cant see ''seekers'' who are neutrals..Would it be possible to have show seekers option, instead of ''show only seekers''?

Possible - yes. Desirable - not sure.

The standard answer here is that there are many ways that people might conceivably want to combine various filters. In order to allow for all of these possibilities, the software would need a fancy interface for combining filters with "and", "or", "not", and most likely with some kind of bracketing mechanism.

I don't want to get involved in creating a user interface to support this (mostly because I suspect that it would be impossible to create an interface that more than a tiny percentage of our members could deal with).

Instead I arbitrarily decide how filters combine and hope that the formula I use is acceptable in most cases. My reasoning in making "show seekers" an exclusive thing is that I expect that people will use this facility in order to help them to find an appropriate person who wants to play as quickly as possible. To that end, they don't need the distraction of seeing other people in the list who are most likely not looking to play.

If a lot of people disagree with this reasoning, I will consider changing the way it works.

If I were looking for a game I'd want to consider asking people on my friends list even if they weren't actively seeking a game at the time, so it would be nice to have this list alongside the seekers.

I agree with the previous post - it would be nice to be able to easily consider from a group of friends and random seekers. I haven't even used the seekers function yet because I don't like the way it makes the rest of my selected list disapear.

Just an opinion.

OK - I will change it in the next version such that instead of "show only seekers" you will see "show seekers" and such that this filter can be combined with others (like "show friends").

If people say they like it the way it was before, I can always change it back.

I am back to the No. of columns. If I select different columns for different pages ( like Lobby, Team Matches, Tournaments), can't the filter settings remember these?

This is radical. For whatever it is worth

Instead of the player list being arranged as columns on the right, if it is arranged as 6 rows ( similar to what you see when you are at a table) just above the chat screen ( with a sliding scroll bar instead of arrows) , there waould be consistency in displays in all pages and the problem of choosing columns can be eliminated once for all.

I also feel, this may be aesthically pleasing to the eye ( I may be wrong on this )

I am thinking about having 2 settings for # of lobby columns - 1 for when you are actually in the lobby and 1 for everywhere else. I don't like the idea of having separate settings for every area.

Sorry, there are not going to be any radical changes like the one you suggest any time soon. Most likely the next change to screen layout will involve giving people fulll control over the size of all of the main elements on the screen as well as their position (and whether or not they are attached to the main window). This won't be happening soon either.

As long as the interface imposes no more than limited flexibility in this area, what you see is going to remain pretty similar to what you see now. I am not claiming that the current imposed layout is "better" than imposing your radical idea (I have no even thought about it actually), but this is not a good time to try yet another completely different screen layout.

A Min and Max setting for the # of cols together with a maximimize/minimize togle Button next to the options button would be perfect.
