6C?

Your guess is as good as mine, maybe 6NT is better.
I give opener the Ace of spades, that rules out 7.

I dont think I will be able to tell p, what I have got,
so I bid, what I think will have chances to make.
I can start with 4S, ..., whatever.
With kind regards
Uwe Gebhardt (P_Marlowe)

I would have bid 6C.

4S looks likely to elict 5H telling us nothing we could not imagine and now 6C is ambiguous (at least to me): is it still just to play, or is it stronger than a direct 6C or is it some kind of grand slam try in hearts?

At the table an expert West bid 6NT which was a top; but I struggle to convince myself it was the right decision, hence the post. If BBO were to restore the trick taking calculation in Dealer such evaluation would be straightforward for the community here.

I was also curious if anyone would consider 5NT here: partner looks likely to have diamonds as well as hearts, although we probably want to declare with this hand.

For me 4 shows both minors, I doubt partner is strong enough to bid hearts over that.
