getting knocked off

I get knocked off everytime I log in and it is from a PC.

I am also getting knocked off very very very often since I got my new computer and Windows 11.

In Kiwi, knocked off translates to I've finished work, and I'm probably going to the pub for a Steiny.

There is a particularly vulgar use, I won't share here.

In England there is (or was) that vulgar use, plus to be assassinated by a mob.
It would never have occurred to me as an equivalent to being logged off or booted or whatever, hence my curiosity.
