i wonder if it would be possible to add a feature to the chat window of a table being moderated or kibitzed. i sometimes find it difficult/confusing to read earlier, missed portions of the conversation, particularly when the chat is lengthy and the table is generating many comments, because the window automatically reverts to display newly posted messages as soon as they are received. while it is possible to scroll back through the message thread with the mouse button held down to avoid this, it can be very cumbersome. i have seen live chat on other sites that provide an icon that will pause automatic scrolling of the message thread when clicked until the icon is reselected and the normal chat is resumed. adding this feature to bbo would it very easy to get caught up with the thread without battling incoming messages. i have to believe it would be a welcome convenience and perhaps not too difficult to implement.

I agree it would be helpful but have little hope that bbo would do something (given the fact that they don't even provide a shaded backdrop for dummy in 'picture of cards' view even when requested and reminded that it is already available in 'hand diagram' view). So, it is not about the difficulty in implementing.
