Does anyone have experience of playing ‘hands free bridge’ using Apple Voice Control and Overlays? Partner has great difficulty using hands and is trying this system.
iPad >accessibility>voice control >On, then using overlays to request bids and card play. Overlays can be grid, numbers or names. Grid does work but is slow, numbers or names would be better but the icons on BBO pages are not well defined so it is not as good as it could be.
Advice or experience of others would be appreciated.
Update from BBO Support
“We are aware of the need to craft our website accesibility features and have added them to our to-do list. However I cannot give you a clear estimate of when this will be happening.
Our goal is to enable players with disabilities, impairments, and limitations to enjoy their bridge experience the same as any other user.”

Have there been any further developments in the use of voice control to play bridge on BBO?
My partner is actually finding it more difficult, in recent times, to use voice control to bid and play the cards.

Have you tried the BBO Visual Assist add on for Chrome?
It looked encouraging, but I have no real experience as our blind player was no longer interested after returning to f2f play.
