BBO should give the option to show tens as "T". Such as "T" instead of "10"

So instead of 1096532, it would show T96532.
This is a quality of life change that would make it easier to distinguish the numbers and the count of a suit.

T is also a very commonly used shorthand, but just isn't available on BBO.

I like the 10's. BBO could use a kerned 10 (or symbol) so that suits with the same number of cards line up.

If you chance 10 to T you cannot fines the 1/2 anymore.

I agree with the original request. T for ten would save space in some cases, make the display more consistent, and emphasize the fact that the ten is an honor.

I vote vociferously in favor of the status quo. As Gertrude Stein might have put it "A 10 is a 10 is a 10" not a tee.

Bo Derick would have gone nowhere as a Tee. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078721/

What will they gripe for next -- a roman numeral?!

"10" is good but "T" is better. One symbol for one card. I never made a mistake that "10" is two cards but "T" would be more bridge style.

Yep, should have T's, just like on real playing cards.

Should have Ts, just like on the better hand diagrams. It's never too late to correct a poor original choice.

Never thought about 10 as an issue, so changing 10 to T would be a solution to a non-existent problem.

So don't select that option and we'll both be happy.
Many of us see it as a real problem that could very easily be avoided.

One problem would be that "T" would not be an appropriate abbreviation for "10" in many other languages. In German, it would be "Z" for "zehn." In many Romance languages, such as French or Spanish, it would be "D."

BBO doesn't like options. The current version has a small fraction of the original Windows version as BBO pares down user options. BBO has said that options confuse the users.

Funny, I'm looking at the latest Bridge World and I don't see any "T"s being used instead of 10's. I've got 60 or 70 bridge books and none of them use "T" for 10. It must be random luck that I don't have any of the bridge books with "T"s.

T is useful for encoding playing cards into text but for display is it "10"? Had to check to be sure. I think in BBO you can write T!d for the diamond 10.

Stepbridge (a Dutch Bridge site) uses T and so does the KNR hand evaluator.

Exactly the same (non) problem we have with King, Queen and Jack. Just as we nationalise (or not) those, we can do the same with the fifth honour too.

I didn't dispute that, I think only one of my books uses T. I much prefer it when T is used, however.

BBO automatically localizes to different languages, so if we were to do this, we could use the appropriate initial. We already do that for the royals.

But if D is the initial for 10 in French, that would conflict with D for Dame (Queen).
