I'm getting some resistance from players who think 2nt by South here should show a balanced hand and must promise 2 cards in partners major, which is how I've played it, until now. :D
They would jump to 4M with 6 after 2nt, which could be the crux of the problem. I now see 2N is the only bid with these 1444 o. 1345 etc hands.
