Greetings to all you fellow bridge enthusiasts! I'm Saahas Kohli, and on behalf of the Monta Vista Bridge Club, I want to extend our sympathies for all the hardships that you all have endured during this pandemic. Social distancing and isolation have recently become a common part of our everyday lives, but we want to do whatever we can to make the situation less stressful for everyone, and part of that is by sharing our love of bridge. We plan to organize a club on BBO, where all may participate to practice their bridge skills in a fun virtual environment. If you are interested in joining, please take a couple of minutes to fill out this short survey: Sign-Up Sheet.

Hi everyone,
I am Aman Desai, the president of the Monta Vista High School Bridge Club. Saahas and I thought this would be a great idea to help the bridge-playing community, so please let us know if you would be interested. We are planning on having our first game on August 8, from 2 PM to 3 PM PST. Thank you!

Please do not ask people for their email addresses; it makes it appear like a data gathering exercise and those email addresses could be used for any unknown purpose.
The fact that you have your own email addresses on display on the forms tends to suggest that you are legitimate and probably are doing this in good faith. Having said that, I still feel that fellow BBFers might have the same thought/reservation in mind and not want to share email addresses with strangers.
Edit: A google search showed that there is an Aman Desai appearing on Monte Vista High School club website and is listed as President. However, my reservation about sharing information remains valid i.e. I would be hesitant to do so. Good luck with your venture.

Yes they are legit.
To OP: please don't ask for email addresses and don't show yours in public places.
Good luck with your online club
A quick clarification: nowadays a "club" means a list of usernames and a series of tournaments, team matches or social play gatherings limited to this list of usernames.
You do not need people's email addresses for this, just their BBO usernames so that you can add them to your restricted list.

Thank you guys so much for your replies! We have updated the sign-up sheet to take BBO usernames and made entering email addresses optional. Hope this clears things up.
