Set 3: derppp 33-29 smerriman
http://webutil.bridg...360824&u=derppp
A thrilling set which featured multiple swings on both sides, but most of them balanced out and I eventually won by a slim margin of 4 IMPs.
Score after 3rd set: derppp 59-60 smerriman.
Set 4: derppp 17-11 smerriman
http://webutil.bridg...435364&u=derppp
This set was much more "peaceful" (similar to the first 2 sets). We traded several overtricks/undertricks and I lost a partscore swing, but earned a crucial game swing on board 9 to clinch the set by 6 IMPs, which was enough to win the match.
Final scoreline: derppp 76-71 smerriman.
Thanks smerriman for the nice close game. Was quite amazed at how the margins were so close for every set (even the 3rd set, despite the greater amount of IMPs traded), which made every board count.

Agreed - and makes you regret every mistake individually! Thanks for a great match.

final set: derppp 24-28 diana_eva (I lost by 4)

Final result: diana_eva wins by 2 IMPs
Congrats to diana_eva and thanks to the organisers + opps for this challenge event. Really enjoyed the matches, especially the 2 knockout rounds - went from being behind by a small margin to winning by a small margin for semis thanks to the last set, only to have the converse happen to me in the finals (guess I can't get so lucky all the time )
Look forward to the next event!

Yay!
Thanks for the game, derppp, good game. You kept me on the edge the whole final. I didn;t know whether I can win till the last moment. Thrilling to discover I managed those 2 imps in the end
Thanks to smerriman for organizing

Thank you Smerriman, Derppp and Diana_Eva for an entertainig and instructive spectacle. Congratulations, Diana and well-played, both of you.
This hand is intriguing
Gib succeeds with ♥A, ♦A, finesse ♠Q, ♠A, ruff a ♠. ♦.
A good alternative line.
Yes, I was afraid that board will cost me a lot more. I thought derppp will also bid the slam and make. I was careless. It was funny that he got passed out at part score level.

Haha yes I didn't expect my 4d to get passed out after my series of bids were alerted as strong and forcing... but bots found the killing club lead anyway so perhaps I was fortunate to secure a positive score at least
