The term "twice rebiddable" should be replaced with "rebiddable" in pretty much every situation in which it is used.

Agreed. In fact even "rebiddable" is bad. We should be entitled to the definition of what makes a suit "rebiddable" for the robot as it must meet some precise criterion no? Lack of full disclosure.

Ah great, thanks. How did you find this out of interest? It would be good if BBO made it more accessible. As far as I can see you can't access it from the homepage and it's not listed in the GIB system notes (which to be honest are not very accurate anyway).

I think I just found it by Googling the first time (or linked from a past forum post).

My comment specifically refers to the fact that almost every time the explanation is "twice rebiddable" the hand in question is just rebiddable.

Not only is the wording bad, but it is inaccurate, and the list is long. I take it we are talking about when you run your cursor over the help bubble during the bidding. For example:

"Forcing to 3NT" after partner has already passed. If you take it mean forcing to game, the robot will sometimes pass short of game. This doesn't only happen after passed partner.

But more than anything, I find them hard to understand. Does anyone know where there is a chart that explains their meanings? That would help a lot.

When descriptions are separated by ";" does it mean that each one is only a possibility?

At the beginning of the GIB System Notes there's a link that says:

Click here for help understanding these explanations.

Here's a hilarious example of the exact opposite variety.

The auction goes,

P-P-1D-1S-2H-2S-5D and the explanation of the 5D bid is 11-21 HCP. Biddable diamonds. 12-22 total points.

You are right about twice rebiddable, but sorry I don't think it's a priority.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.
