You're talking about the French auction on board 23 in this match.

My interpretation:

X = takeout
4N = "two places to play", always with both minors unless slam interest
5♣ = preference opposite both minors, NF
5♠ = slam try with spades and a minor, NF
5N = "pick a slam", usually with some doubt about the best strain
6♦ = diamond suit, prefers spades to clubs
6♠ = to play? inviting 7♠ because of the "slow" 5N route to 6♠? (not clear to me which).

My interpretation:

X = I think is with spades,force
4NT = over the 4 SP,BW
5♣ = 0-3 Aces, A,K-SP and A CL
5♠ = Here is my surprise. I think here, 5 SP is stoped, but Bessis go to 5NT.
5NT = go for king
6♦ =1 king
6♠ = final contract.

4NT is either a hand that wants to play in 5 of a minor or a flexible hand with slam interest. Doubler chooses their better minor (in this case clubs) unless they would want to make a further slam try. The only place I can offer a possible alternative to nullve is in the 5♠ call. That might show specifically spades and clubs as 5♦ could have been chosen with both pointy suits. I am not sure of this though - it would just make the 5♦ call over 5NT clearer.
