Yuval Harari, reality and Vipassana meditation What is going on?

Here are a couple of stories about Yuval Harari, his ideas and Vipassana meditation. I have not read his books and I don't know anything about Vipassana meditation beyond a brief discussion with a guy I met this week in Oregon. If you've read his books or tried this approach to meditation and have an opinion, please post. I will post after doing some independent research.
