Joining a person at his table is a great feature which has been asked many times in the past here and this should make a lot of people happy.
Typing the explanation prior to making the bid avoids the delay for the next bidder. Many a time the next hand bids before the Alert is seen. This is a great improvement.
I will greatly appreciate a small change in this area. The box is now a blank box. If the same can be replaced with a box with a Explain window, this will help all the OKScript users who use automatic Alerts with explanation
OK Script needs to recognise a window. The Explain Window opens when you bid and press Alert. If this window is available, when it is your turn to bid ( instead of the blank box), this will greatly help the OKScript user. This will overcome the delay between the Alert & Explanation and the next hand bidding, so that the next hand will always see the explanation, before it is his turn to bid.

I right-clicked to go to his room, but there was not the "Join xxx's room" option...
Either I did something wrong, or, that would be my next wish

EDITED: Alright, I understood why: the team match had kibs disallowed

Is there any other way OKS can find the alert explanation field? Maybe you can talk FG into adding a key or key sequence that jumpts to the explanation field.

I tried it with someone who was kibitzing the Vugraph and found that the names of the players at the table weren't displayed. If I left and returned the names appeared.
It happened every time I used the Join table of anybody kibitzing the vugraph except when I used the Vugraph operator!

Same applies to me

Thanks for the bug report. This will be fixed in 4.2.0 (coming soon).

Uday is correct. I do not want to put this into its own window.
We are talking about rewriting the convention card facility and include some kind of functionality for automated alert explanations. Perhaps when we do this then there will be no need for OKScript.

Hi Fred
The following might sound a bit strange coming from me... I'm a very strong proponent of improving mechanisms for full disclosure and I certainly would welcome adding some significant improvements in this area.
With this said an done, if you do plan on adding a function to automate alert functions, I very much suggest an all or nothing type approach. Simple replication of functions already available in OKScript or Remote Keys really doesn't provide all that much additional functionality to customers. There is some potential that integrating this functionality with the OKB client would increase adoption rate, however, its unclear the extent to which this would occur.
I'd prefer to see efforts focused at funcitonality that can't be easily replicated with thid party applications. Case in point, rather than worrying about generating alert strings, focus on the the structure for the Conventions cards. As an alternative, if do decide to work on the alerting structure I'd recommend going "whole hog" and implementing some kind of scripting structure...
Three quick comments:
1. From my perspective, the most interesting issue to consider is actually the relationship between the alert strings and the convention card. In the best of all world, an alert string could actually contain an embedded hyperlink that would allow the opponents to consult the appropiate section of the convention card.
2. Regardless of how easy you make things, I don't think that casual users are ever going to go to the trouble of filling out a convention card. Accordingly, if you do want to beef up this area, its best to target the power users. In an ideal world, we'll be able to create highly complex cc's that anyone can use.
3. As I noted earlier, I think that implementing a complete scripting system would provide some real value to the membership. In particular, adding an "expert system" that players could reference when they're learning a new system would be very useful...

If Uday and I decide to go ahead with the major revisions in this area of the program that are considering, we have already decided that we will try to get you involved in helping us with the design.
We are not ready to start yet, but there is a good chance that you will be hearing from us before too long.

Sorry - I thought we had fixed this and I have not been able to replicate the problem myself. If you see it happen again, can you please let me know where it was you were before you moved to the team table. Also please make sure that the team match has finished at least one board.
Thanks,
