The 4th natural trick in the suit is won by ♠3 over ♠2.
I had one years ago where I could pin a ♣86 doubleton and end up finessing a 5. However opponent ruined all when he didn't cover my ♣9 and let it win first trick. I think it was AQ73 vs J94

Isn't the same true here if West does not cover the first trick?

What do you mean by the same? that the end position is ruined? yes it is.
