FrancesHinden and JAllerton are playing in the semi-final (and, I hope, the final) of the EBU Spring Foursomes today. There is vugraph coverage on BBO.

This is a double-elimination event, which reduces to one undefeated team and three once-defeated teams, who then play a four-team knockout. The undefeated team chooses its semi-final opponents.

Frances and Jeffrey's team were the undefeated team. For their semi-final opponents they had a choice of:
- Half of the England Open Team for the Europeans, plus a decent sponsor.
- A team containing Zia, Welland, Auken and a few other names you might recognise.
- Lavazza (who they'd beaten yesterday in the round of 12).

Not a particularly easy decision.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

Looking at the scores in the other match after 16 boards, Frances was heard to wonder whether they had made the right decision!
