Lebensohl or don't bother[1]

NOT "stolen bids" which are worse than natural.

[1] - Well, there are some other options like Ruebensohl, but they are a bit adfvanced for B/I

if you don't want to learn lebensohl - most people on bbo will never have heard of it - just play bids non-forcing, double take-out

Lebensohl works only over natural overcalls, right? What if opps use Capp, DONT?

Where can I get well-written details on this, please?

It can still apply over conventions. Just use a little common sense, and just pretend they overcalled naturally, so the stopper asks/shows revolve around whatever their primary shown suit is.

One of the most basic methods for dealing with intervention over a 1NT opening is the following:

Double - Penalty.
Simple bid of a new suit - natural and competitive, intending it to play. Less than game forcing values.
Jump bid of a new suit - natural, forcing (alternatvely, natural, invitational, and use cue bid as the only game forcing call other than a game bid).
Cue bid - game forcing Stayman. Opener should bid 4 card major suits up the line. Responder may have a long suit of his own. Since game must be reached, any below game bid is forcing.
2NT - natural and invitational.
All game bids - to play.

This method is simple. But there are many situations it will not handle well. For example, what do you do with a balanced strong hand without stoppers in the opponents' suit? That is why more complicated methods - takeout doubles, Lebensohl, Rubensohl, and others - have been developed.

If opps use DONT, you can treat their overcall as a natural 1-suiter and use your standard Lebensohl treatment.

If opps use capp, then you need a treatment over their:

penalty X
-- an easy treatment is that 2-any is to play, XX is to play, and pass is everything else. This is not best, but it's easy (and fairly standard).

2C = single suiter
-- just play systems on. X = stayman, and everything else as if there were no interference

2D = majors
-- This is based on "unusual over unusual" which applies when opps bid an unusual 2NT, and which is google-able. Again, it may not be best, but it's easy.
-- X = cards and willingness to penalize, invites partner to dbl for penalty. 2H = inv+ in clubs. 2S = inv+ in diamonds. 2N = natural inv. 3M shows a stopper in M. 3N is to play.

2M = M + a minor
-- treat it like a natural one-suiter and use lebensohl. Basically do this anytime they show two suits, but only one of which (the one they bid) is known.

2N = m's
-- unusual over unusual. X = cards and willingness to penalize, invites partner to dbl for penalty. 3C = inv+ in hearts. 3D = inv+ in spades. 3M is to play. 3N is to play. Can't have it all (e.g., looking for minor-stoppers).

Hope this helps.

This does help a lot! Thank you, wyman, ArtK78, TylerE. I'll be back to this topic with examples later ;)
