The bidding is a abit strange, not really understand partners double.
everything tells me not to bid 3nt, but i would with most partners.

Just respond 3 immediatly next time... 3NT now might work.

3N looks a little hungry to me; either we are wide open in diamonds or we have to knock out a heart 1st.

Bid 3 the 1st time.

pass by me to get plus score.

btw, i would have bid 2nt forcing to explore the game possibility. while 3H jump at first round is weak showing both major support.

It would be very useful to have a better idea regarding what your multi-2D openings show... In particular, I'd want to understand what the upper/lower bound is for this opening and what an intial 2 response would have shown...

I will note the following: 2 strikes me as a very strange bid. If you lack sufficient playing strength to investigate game, I think that you should bid an immediate 3 as to maximize the pressure on the opponents. Bidding 2 and then rebidding 3 allows the opponents too many chances to exchange information and make a reasonable decision.

Equally important, its unclear what partner's double shows. You've made two weak bids and partner is now forcing you to decide between converting and playing at the four level (when you originally announced that you wanted to play 2)

With all this said and one, "Walking the Dog" seems to have worked out well.
I'm going to bid 3NT, hoping to take 6 Hearts, a Spade, and 2 Clubs. I readily admit that the Diamond suit scares me. The opponents could run 4 Dimaonds and a Spade off the top. Alternatively, they could cross in Diamonds on the opening lead and push a Spade through me. However, from my perspective, these same death hands won't necessary play any better defending 3SX or declaring 4H.

Is partner supposed to double with a 1-6-3-3 maximum? I think partner is more likely to hold something like 0-6-4-3, in which case it's more likely that 4 hearts is the correct spot. Give partner something like -- ATxxxx QJxx Qxx. Alternatively, if partner did have the 1-6-3-3 hand, it would have to include at least 2 quick tricks on defense. Something like x-AJTxxx AJx xxx. That particular hand also gives better play for 4 hearts than 3nt, assuming the spade ace is onside. The reason is because the 4th round of clubs may set up should hearts not run. I don't think partner should be opening 2 hearts with something like x AQJxxx Kxx xxx. That hand seems like a better 1 heart opener. The reason why I mention that hand is because that's the ideal hand for a 3nt bid to work. All of these considerations lead me towards bidding 4 hearts instead. I don't like pass at all.
