agree 1s dont think much of any preempt here and
pass doesnt do much for me either with the 2 aces. It is
an easy hand to bid and rebid so go for it.
IMO 1s=10 p = 6 2/3/4s = 3

I play intermediate two bids, so this decision is easy for me in my main partnership. In a standard partnership, I think I'd open 1 and keep bidding spades for a while. I don't particularly object to 3S 1st seat, and that would be my 2nd choice, though I think 1 is better.

2♠ for me - no spots and too much Defense for 3♠, most people want a few more HCP for 1♠ (I wouldn't even attempt it unless 1♠ is limited), and partner will NEVER believe that I have this good a hand if I initially pass. Why are so many people saying Pass is an option, seriously???

Never preempt with two aces - although I once opened a weak two with three aces, I assume that's ok?

I also absolutely cannot open 1♠ in my partnership, pard is super aggressive red at inps and heading for 3nt way too often on chunky 11's.

By agreement our 2 bids are more constructive than 3 here so I'll try that and cross my fingers. It's an uncomfortable hand for sure. I could miss game but that's more excusable than going for 800.
