Link to hand

6S has the exact same definition of the 1S response (minus the one over one part). Shouldn't the responses be saying something about the suit quality?

Currently GIB doesn't have feature about it. So 6 it's just bid carrying the same information which just can't accept the grand.

In future that could be added i guess, especially for major slams, where 6minors bids are available.

Something like 6 - A or K, 6 - Queen, 6 return in major - Jack or less. But that's just an improvisation based on articles.

Since GIB recognized 5N as Grand Slam Force, what does North deny by bidding 6?

5NT - !? Grand slam force (S trump) -- 5+ ; 4+ ; 21 HCP; 22 total points; 14+ relay points
7 - -- 4+ ; 18+ total points

Most likely it's like Grand slam invite.

Is that a reply to Bradley since it certainly doesn't look like it?
The question is what does GIB deny by bidding 6 instead of any other bid given 6 description as given is nondecript?

That's the requirement for GIB to accept the Grand slam. 18+TP

As GIB doesn't have them, can't pick that bid.

The rest bids below 6 will promise 1st control in them and 13+TP, saying nothing more for the trump quality.

So currently GIB by bidding 6 doesn't deny trump quality, just denies 1st controls below and less then 18TP.

There's still something a bit weird when it requires 13 TP to make a grand slam try when partner has forced to slam opposite 6. Anyway, I've not heard of any GSF scheme that doesn't revolve around trumps. Especially in this auction, the one thing partner won't be concerned about is first round controls outside.

Georgi, Grand Slam Force is the name of a convention: 5NT asks partner to bid 7 if he has 2 of the top 3 trumps, otherwise bid 6.

6 denies having 2 of the top honors, but it doesn't "show" anything more than it already showed with its original bid. This is because when the rule for bidding a grand doesn't match, it just falls through to a default rule that says to rebid your suit.

We could possibly add an explicit rule for this, instead of using the default. It could then say "2- 321 points in S".

It would be adjusted for the next update.
