Not sure I belong in this forum :lol: , but the question seems reasonable to place here.

IMP pairs


I was not happy doubling, but the hand seemed too much for 3♣, and I wanted to keep spades in the picture. I wasn't playing with Marshall Miles, so I couldn't bring myself to consider 2♠. If you agree with double, what do you do over 3♦, or over lebensohl 2NT, forcing 3♣ by me (still okay?), followed by 3♦?

I hoped the traveler would help me feel better about my choices, which it did, sort of, since I was the only one who faced this problem. S at my table preempted with a five card heart suit, which isn't crucial to the problem at hand, but it makes me realize that having to think more about my choices was reasonable.
