lho on lead j s, I have qxx of spade, I am sure lho leaded either from aj10 or kj10, its all upto rho he ducks j s or puts k or a and rtns spade, rho does exactly that now lho cashed 6 s and sw to d rho cashed 7 d now I end up losing all 13 tricks.

Second, there seems to be something missing from the auction. What did partner bid after 2NT?
With the opps having all spades except Q, and RHO having 7 diamonds, I suspect they could have made a game. At favorable vulnerability, your -13 is not much worse than their game.

One of my first online games, btw, was -400 for 8 down when p passed my 4NT take-out, that scored very well at matchpoints.
