I don't quite agree it is obvious. If this is a Forcing Pass situation then I'd bid 5♠, but with what sort of hand would partner re-open Red vs White in 4th seat? I'd bid 5♠ myself, but I'm willing to listen and understand other points of view as I consider myself a little ignorant of these situations.

Yes, it is clearcut.
No, it is not a forcing pass situation (LHO may have more HCP than you and partner combined)

The real problem with bidding 5S is that I might have to bid 6S over 6H too.

Is it really a Forcing Pass ?
I am not sure...What would be your rule ?

Most have a rule, especially at this vulnerability, that a pass would be forcing if we have bid game on power and the opponents bid on. That is not the case here.

Oh yes, for the 4♠ bidder, that is clear !
But for the poor doubler, who now has to take a decision, on the so-called FP (?) from partner, that is not so clear. From his viewpoint, 4♠ could be on a bare minimum.

Yes, it is up to the 4♠ to make a decision here.
Yes, 5♠, seems some kind of an insurance...... HURRAY !

I do not think that you can call this a FP situation: if E has a worthless hand, he passes.
