Before I venture a guess....(well give an answer)...

Two questions for your methods.

1). what would pass-1H-2D have been (diamond or some form of drury, etc)
2). What would 2S have been as in Pass-1H-1NT-2D-2S? (impossible 2S?)
3). What is your 2D opening bid (is it a weak two in diamonds?)

The reason I ask, of course, is to eliminate possible hands for partner by these two bids. If a hand consistent with weak two in diamonds, with natural non-forcing 2D, and with extra value showing impossible 2S are all eliminated by the sequence not taken, then I have a fairly reasonable picture of partners hand and know what I am bidding (hint, it is matchpoints after all).

1) 4-card drury
2) Strong diamond raise
3) Weak two

3 is probably the best way to get to the right one of 3N and 5, but I think it's so likely that 4 is right in a 5-2 that we should bid 3. We still have a chance of getting to the other spots.

My gut reaction was 5D because responder has denied a good diamond raise for lack of 2S bid. But I still voted for 3S and probably would bid it at the table also, on the off-chance that we can be in 3NT where only 9 tricks are needed and more importantly, because it is MPs. I am not worried about clubs, partner is marked with at least five of them, lets hope they are not 10xxxx.

On what planet is partner marked for at least 5 clubs? Have you never been 3253 before?

I agree with karlson, 3 normally shows 6 and 3 is easy with this shape, but the 5-2 heart fit possibility looks really good and other strains are still not ruled out. I think even without the heart ten I would bid 3 because then 3 is starting to look like too big of a position.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

I bid 3 and consider it wtp bid, I probably shouldn't though seeing awm posted this as a problem.
I hope 4 from partner after that would be choice of games (between and ) and not a slam try. I don't think we need slam tries here as both sides are limited.

I would rebid my 6-card heart suit.
