Depending on the vulnerability, seat and your style, you should open 2H or 3H, or 4H. 4H may seem crazy to you but it's quite reasonable w/r 1st seat.

What you should never do is pass.

Even scoring may influence the decision

Preempt with H-long/good vs. spades, even 6-suit deviation 3H/4H.
Intend to out bid their hearts if hearts switched with spades.

Too many flaws for me (only 6 cards, only 5 1/2 tricks, a two-suited hand, an ace that likely cashes on defence, with some chance that AQ in a suit of only 6 is a 2nd defensive trick). Really a style thing though (and my preempt style is agressive but classically shaped.) I would open 3H in 3rd at equal vul, but not in 1st or 2nd.

this is a very normal preempt, those who always pass with this kind of hands just missed the best part of preemptive bids. 2H is also acceptable.

I would try 3 or 4, depending on how lucky I feel.

Yeah I think that is the best approach here.

4 automatic. The alternative is pass. 2 or 3 is silly.

Don't pass. Bid some level of hearts, depending on what your partner expects or what agreements you have. If none, 3H.
