Moved two threads out of General Bridge Discussion:

Robot eccentricity: moved to the GIB Robot Discussions forum.

Playing with screens: moved to Suggestions for the Software.

Multiple post in the most recent Moscito article were deleted because of violations of TOS. Sadly, I had just lowered one of the people involved in the fracas WARNING level because he/she had been playing nice with post here for a long period of time.

Cmon, Ben, the other poster deserved what he got. He even accused one regular here of acting unethically. (Let alone that his defence sucks). The other guy appears to have a 'holier than thou" attitude and has not made a constructive post in years. Note no names mentioned.

When the primary gains from your PPP (Personal Pet Project), the ability of your side to jam the auction in 2M, are threatened with oblivion (or at a minimum, radically reduced) you need to apply the flawless logic of Newt Gingrich: Shout louder!

Pointing out why something is not a good idea, and the weakness of a method is fine. The points given in the thread are clear, and easy to understand. I find it partially amusing that so much effort was spent shooting down a very inferior method. The first or second shot at it was adequate to demonstrate the point. But the name calling, "I got to have the last word" approach was just silly. Any serious bridge player would stop reading the thread after Richards excellent gutting of the method. I did, only to then be dragged in by multiple report thread post and private emails telling me about the flame war that was going on.

For the record, please don’t regard the way in which I engage with Richard as a “flame war.” All I’m doing is debating with him in a posting style that he understands.

Merged the thread about the Android app that was in Support for Bridge Base Products into the existing Mobile App thread in Suggestions.

I just noticed that I did it backwards -- the Mobile App thread was appended to the thread in Brige Base Products. I've fixed it now.

Four forum-members don't like my use of the heart-symbol.
On the other side about 25 members, did let me know they like my lay-outs.

What is you opinion ?

Removed a post by kenberg in the "Checking the scores" thread in General Bridge Forum. His post #4 was a verbatim repeat with an additional line added at the end.

Perhaps four forum members who don't like the stuff in the posts mentioned that fact, and the others simply block it.

And if they didn't block it, they didn't bother to complain.

I'd love to see a poll. I'll give 10:1 against.

Maybe it's time to give the anti-Lurpoa stuff a rest. She did her time as the black sheep of the forums for whatever happened a while ago and her upvotes and posts now seem harmless and mostly genuine.

That said, Lurpoa, making exaggerated claims isn't going to help things. Just use your hearts, we know you love them so much, and don't worry about it.

Okay, maybe I'm gullible, but it seemed to me that her upvotes were just because she liked the threads (for the OP upvotes) and agreed with or found the answers helpful [Added: whether they're objectively good/helpful posts or not is beside the point]. Are they actually super ironic/trollish upvotes due to all the history?
