I have, temporarily locked a thread in the novice/beginner forum for things to cool off. I will unlock it in the next few days. In addition in that thread I have deleted some 11 of 12 post completely, and may delete a few more after I think about them. Finally, a particular flame war between two people will result in their future post having to be moderated if it continues (read by a moderator and approved before becoming visible). This flame war (mild by online standards, but real none the less) has existed in other forums (besides the N/B forum), but it can not be tolerated even at its mildest level in the N/B, AND I am sure a lot of people are getting tired of reading it in other forums as well.

In the "full disclosure, robot style" thread, I removed the name of a player who was personally attacked by nathan2008. Please keep the discussion civil and constructive.

Also I reopened the thread in the novice/beginner forum that I locked a few days ago (opened it much earlier).

Actually, I think you missed and put it in General Bridge Discussion. I moved it to General BBO.

Looks more like a good checks-and-balances thing to me. Barmar did not usurp inquiry's decision, but rather noticed he hadn't done what he said he did...and fixed it.

I think you missed the pun.

Although the thread got cluttered by complaints on the real person's bidding, the OP clearly belonged in the "Suggestions" forum. The desciptions of bids, and the actual bidding by the Bot really need fixing.

The first-listed purpose of the GIB forum is to report GIB bugs, which certainly includes the situation(s) on that hand.

Do you have any idea how flooded the "Suggestions" forum would be if this criterium was applied?

I assume that is a rhetorical question, underlining a need for the BOT people to re-examine the alleged explanations of calls.
