Tonight will take place a great final of the UEFA Champions League, two ultra strong teams, I think it will be a great football evening!

That's not possibly Csaba, I object to the title of the post, a team consists of 11 people + bench and you need all of them to win.

Sure, you are right, but these two guys are ( no doubt ) the absolut "key players" of their teams, such a finals will be often decided by 1-2 genial moves of the play makers.

You seem to miss the fact that van der Sar is Manchesters goalkeeper.

I don't. But in my opinion he is not a better goal keeper than Victor Valdes

Man. U. are the Yankees of Football. And I'm an ABY baseball fan. So you can guess.

However, I'm much more intrigued (there's a limit to my fanaticism) by my "hometown" (family left in the 50s) rivalry: the Black Cats are still in, boys, the Tynesiders - not so much...

I don't have a preference and I find it a hard pick. I'll go with Manchester United.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

I don't understand how Man U could lose with the Player's Player of the year in their squad! /sarcasm off

Both great teams. I'm inclined towards England but away from Man U, so I wasn't overly concerned with who won. I'd certainly rather see Messi succeed than Ronaldo.

As for van der Sar, I'm not sure what the point is. There are better keepers in England, much less Europe, though I do agree that he's decent.
Still decidedly intermediate - don't take my guesses as authoritative.

He's by far the best Dutch keeper and sadly retired from the national team.
Over here he's considered the best in the world, but that's just an opinion, man.

I expected from ManU by far more than they yesterday showed, nobody was able to stop the duo Messi-Iniesta.
